My experiences as a store manager so far have been really educational if not even fun. Today was the preemptive to Black Friday. Had over 50 distribution boxes come in today. Absolute insanity in terms of shifting and product. But that's not the big issue. Apparently two !@#$ing African-Americans decided to shoplift some PS3 games from me. Entire situation really made my head spin for most of the day until the evening relief came in for the morning folk. Apparently, these little bastards have been hitting stores in the area in the last few weeks. I'm absolutely ashamed that I finally got hit. I'm often thinking how I failed in the foot steps of my previous boss. He'd often talk about how it'd never happen and even had some counter measures to it. Well, the experience shows in the end. DM sure wasn't happy about the situation, although there's other things I could mention. It's definitely a hard lesson learned and rest assured, it's never ever going to fucking happen again.

Aside from that, I absolutely love my staff. Extremely supportive, talented and resourceful. I really owe them so much, and I hope I can repay the gratitude properly some day. The remainder of the night was fun, even though we had to stay after to get ready for Black Friday. Heh, I'm pretty curious as to what is the fate of this store once I leave. I sure do like what I have going so far though...
